"THE TRUE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST" part 1

I'm writing today about the Gospel. What does the Bible teach us about the gospel? Let's start with a basic definition of the gospel. Strong's definition Evangelion, 2098, originally denoted a reward for good tidings; later, the idea of reward dropped, and the word stood for "the good news" itself. The Eng. word "gospel" i.e. "good message," is the equivalent of evangelion (Eng., 'evangel"). In the N.T. it denotes the "good tidings" of the kingdom of God and of salvation through Christ to be received by faith, on the basis of His expiatory death, His burial, resurrection, and ascension. This is the fundamental definition of the gospel.

In a world of over abundance of bad and negative news the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only good news in this world. My aim today is to look closer at this gospel from Jesus and his apostles perspective. What were their results when they preached the gospel as opposed to today.
The scriptures teach that part of Jesus ministry was to preach the gospel and to confirm this let's look at a few verse's.
Matthew 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the GOSPEL of the KINGDOM, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
Matthew 11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the GOSPEL preached to them.
Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and BELIEVE the GOSPEL.

When the true Gospel of Jesus Christ is being preached shouldn't we be witnessing the same power of deliverance all over this world. I believe that these signs are following some today but not enough to bless the masses that need it. Today mankind is in very bad shape and in need of real deliverance from spiritual oppression and sin sickness. Healing sickness and diseases was common in the ministry of Jesus Christ and his apostles in their day. Where people really believed and reached out to Jesus deaf people heard again, dead people were raised from the dead, people received their sight, people were healed, these manifestations were supernatural in nature and affected both the physical and spiritual realms. I don't know about anyone else but if these things are constantly absent in my Christian fellowship it would raise a red flag. I don't say this to criticize anyone or put someone in a bad light so please don't misunderstand me. I am just making a point. Personally, I have had some of these experiences in my past and I know God is a God of supernatural power not exclusively but he does include these blessings to believers in addition to many other things. God is a God of balance. It's not all about a one dimensional ministry.

The Apostles were promised these signs by Jesus and experienced these promises first hand.
In Mark 16:15-20 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach THE GOSPEL to EVERY creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be damned. And THESE SIGNS SHALL FOLLOW THEM THAT BELIEVE; In my NAME shall THEY CAST OUT DEVILS; THEY shall SPEAK WITH NEW TONGUES; THEY SHALL TAKE UP SERPENTS; and if THEY drink any deadly thing, it shall NOT HURT THEM; THEY SHALL LAY HANDS ON THE SICK, and THEY SHALL RECOVER.
In verse 20 And THEY WENT FORTH, and PREACHED EVERYWHERE, the LORD WORKING WITH THEM, and CONFIRMING THE WORD WITH SIGNS FOLLOWING. AMEN.

In Luke 9:1-2 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and GAVE THEM POWER and AUTHORITY OVER ALL DEVILS, and to CURE DISEASES And he sent them to PREACH the KINGDOM OF GOD, and HEAL THE SICK.

Today we have those who profess Christ and don't even remotely believe that these things can be done today. I would pray for them or run as far away from these people as possible because they really don't believe like God would have us believe and it will stunt your growth. Look at Luke 10:17 - 20 And the SEVENTY returned again WITH JOY, saying, Lord, even THE DEVILS ARE SUBJECT UNTO US THROUGH THY NAME.
And he said unto them, I BEHELD SATAN AS LIGHTNING FALL FROM HEAVEN.
Behold, I GIVE UNTO YOU POWER TO TREAD ON SERPENTS and SCORPIONS, and OVER ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY: and NOTHING shall by any means hurt you.

As you see from these verses that these signs shall follow them that believe. These signs escorted the preaching of the gospel. Isaiah 61:1-4 The SPIRIT of the Lord was upon me (them) and they were anointed to preach good tidings (gospel) unto the meek; he sent them to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called TREES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
As we look in Isaiah 61 we see the restoring power of God when the gospel is preached the benefits for fallen mankind are numerous.

Good tidings = Gospel (good news)
Brokenhearted people repaired/healed
Freedom to those in bondage
Prison doors opened
Comfort for mourners
In Zion (Church)
Beauty for ashes
Oil of joy (Holy Spirit) for mourning
Garment of praise for spirit of heaviness(sin burdened)
Trees of God's righteousness planted by God himself
God gets glorified not man

Other areas that would be blessed and restored:
Build the old waste
Raise up former desolations,
Repair the waste cities
Restore the desolations of many generations

These are just a few of the many blessings God produces when the true gospel is being preached and it all has to do with restoring God's creation to himself. This is why the gospel of Jesus Christ is so powerful and has to be preached. Jesus preached and people were delivered. The apostles preached and people were delivered, same results. Today it should be the same. God is the same yesterday, TODAY, FOREVER. Religious priests, preachers of today have changed things up where God is not manifesting his power because they are not preaching the true gospel. God does have his remnant that have obeyed the gospel and understand what the gospel is and their able to preach it to those who are looking for salvation.

Apostle Paul said in Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for IT IS THE POWER OF GOD unto SALVATION to EVERYONE that BELIEVETH; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
The gospel is the power of God to save those who believe regardless of race. Salvation came to the Jew first by God's promise to Abraham, but also to the Gentiles as well. The gospel is not exclusive to just one race of people. The Jews of their day had those that did not want to associate with those of other races and thought to themselves that they had exclusive rights to God because of the covenant God made with the nation of Israel. Today there are plenty of those who profess Christ but are still harboring racist bigoted postures thinking that salvation is only for their particular race. When you look around the world there are many segregated congregations. In America where there are so many races the segregation is even more striking on Sunday mornings. Apostle Peter needed a great wake up call from the Lord because he thought just like this. In Acts 10 God gave him a vision and correction and then sent him to a Centurion's house whose name was Cornelius of Italian descent. Notice when God corrects us he transforms our thinking to his. Look at the first thing Peter saids Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, OF A TRUTH I PERCEIVE THAT GOD IS NO RESPECTER OF PERSONS:
Did you just hear that Peter PERCEIVED (praise the Lord!) why because the Holy Spirit can and will help us all perceive how God operates. What did he perceive look at the next verse. Acts 10:35 But IN EVERY NATION HE THAT FEARETH HIM, and WORKETH RIGHTEOUSNESS, IS ACCEPTED WITH HIM.
Peter said EVERY NATION and then said anyone who fears God and works righteousness is ACCEPTED by HIM.
Peter did not initially know that Cornelius was a praying man and a giver who feared God with all his house. God however did know because he knows the depths of the hearts of men and their works and answered his prayer and God made a way for him and his household to hear the gospel of his salvation because though he had good works and prayed he still needed to hear and obey the gospel to be saved.
In Acts 10:44 - 45 While Peter yet spake these words, the HOLY GHOST fell on ALL THEM which HEARD the WORD. And they of the CIRCUMCISION which believed were ASTONISHED, as many as came with PETER, because that on THE GENTILES ALSO was POURED OUT THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST.
You see they of the CIRCUMCISION (Jewish converts) were astonished because God poured on them the gift of the Holy Ghost just like he did on them, the Jews.
This is such a great lesson for us who may not have been delivered from this spiritual problem. God can free us from our separatist or racist beliefs that look at others as if God left certain ones out of his salvation. God said he so loved the world that WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH in him should NOT PERISH, but HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.
You see another manifestation of the gospel being preached is the out pouring of the Holy Spirit but notice the ones who received it. Those who HEARD THE WORD did receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This is a very important element hearing caused them to receive so I would venture to say that there were those who were there, that did not hear. The word saids those THAT HEARD the WORD received the Holy Spirit.
Now they knew that they received the Holy Spirit For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we. How did they know they received the Holy Ghost because they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. This is what the word of God saids no one can teach another person how to speak in tongues because its the Spirit of God that gives us the utterance. For those out there that are trying to teach tongues then you are making a mockery of yourself not God because God is not mocked. So beware of people who say they can do this!
Peter concluded preaching the gospel in Acts 10:47-48 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? And he COMMANDED them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. . .
After people receive the Holy Ghost water baptism is included as part of their obedience to the gospel. This is not optional Apostle Peter Commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. This name is Jesus.
This is one account of the gospel being preached and it's results. I want to move to what Apostle Paul said about the gospel in Romans 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, SEPARATED unto the GOSPEL OF GOD.
Paul said that he was separated unto the gospel of God or in other words God set him apart to preach God's gospel. God chose him, not man. If men and women are going to be effectual in the declaration of God's word they have to be chosen and set apart by God then you will see the difference because God will back up what he choses. On the other hand when people decide on their own to run when God has not told them they will bring much harm and confusion to people instead of blessing. There are those who think preaching is a profession like any other occupation but this is not so. It's a divine calling not a occupation.

Now let's go to 1Cor.15:1-4 In these verses we can see the composition or make up of the gospel.
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which also YE HAVE RECEIVED , and wherein ye stand; BY WHICH also YE ARE SAVED, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I ALSO RECEIVED, how that Christ DIED for our sins, according to the scriptures; And that he was BURIED, and that he ROSE AGAIN the third day according to the scriptures:

This dear reader is the Gospel of Jesus Christ that Jesus died (crucified) was buried and resurrected. The gospel is according to the scriptures. Paul told the Corinthians saints that what he delivered to them he also received and he went on to explain to them or expounded the three elements of the gospel DEATH, BURIAL, AND RESURRECTION.
When we obey the gospel we will go through these three phases of the gospel. When we repent of our sins then this is our crucifiction , when we are baptized in water in his name this is our burial and thirdly when we receive the gift of the Holy Ghost this is our resurrection. The Apostles understood this and preached it and applied it to those who converted to Jesus Christ.
Today unfortunately this is not what most of modern Christendom practices so they fall under the other gospel which Apostle Paul warned the Galatians.
